Custom ASIC Creation Service
There is an astounding array of programmable logic available to the design engineer today. Configurable arrays of digital logic, microcontrollers with a staggering peripheral set, or even the PSoC device, a programmable embedded system-on-chip. Where formerly a custom application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) would have been an untenable option due to cost and timeline, engineers are now able to place a chip on their circuit board that provides the exact functionality their application desires - simplifying the design, lowering manufacturing and per-board cost, and mitigating component end-of-life concerns.
We're experts in creating custom peripherals. These peripherals, whether moving analog, digital, or mixed-signal, are custom-designed to meet your functionality requirements. Once completed, you can either program the parts in-house yourselves, or purchase them pre-configured from a parts distributor such as Digi-Key®.
We work with programmable logic parts from the following semiconductor manufacturers as well as several others:
The particular programmable logic manufacturer and part chosen for your design will of course depend upon your functionality requirements, but attention to device lifespan, reliability, and cost - as will as your particular preference - matter highly to us.
We create custom ASIC's for numerous design situations such as a cost-reduction rework for an existing design, or a key component for a new design. Often we are able to combine numerous other digital or analog ASICs, discrete analog or digital circuitry, and even at times the host microcontroller with a single chip. You'll still be designing and creating your product, but will now have in your tool-belt a part which precisely suits the signal, data, and functionality requirements that your design requires.
We would be happy to answer any questions and have a no-obligation discussion about the possibility of creating a custom ASIC for your design. The following graphic illustrates the process from concept to completion:

A proposal for a part designed to your requirements is created based on a discussion and questions. There is no obligation to proceed with this proposal, which will outline the functionality, timeline, design cost, and target device. Should you choose to proceed, the graphic above details the design flow. The percentages shown are the payment milestones, designed to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.
